BIKE24 opens first Service Point in Berlin

The BIKE24 Service Point in Berlin is now officially launching with an opening event on 17 September 2022. This means that the e-commerce bike platform now has a clear instore contact point in the German city of cyclists. Located in the centre near to the Humboldthafen, the store offers bike enthusiasts among other things the opportunity to get advice on their choice of bike with the help of a special measuring method or to bring in their bike for repairs. A bike wash, engaging do-it-yourself workshops, a road bike ride, a raffle with 500 prizes and much more await visitors on the opening day.

BIKE24 continues its profitable growth course: Sales up 30.6 percent after nine months, adjusted EBITDA margin at 13.6 percent

Dynamic growth and high profitability continue to characterise BIKE24's performance. The European e-commerce platform has thus successfully concluded the first nine months of the 2021 financial year: With revenues of EUR 191.7 million during the reporting period, BIKE24 almost reached the level of the entire 2020 financial year after just nine months. Compared to the first nine months of 2020, this corresponds to an increase of 30.6%. Along with the strong business in the German core market, the successful development of the international online shops also made an important contribution to this development. Furthermore, BIKE24 reached two important milestones of its growth strategy by signing a lease agreement for the new Southern European logistics centre and successfully relaunching its webshop last week.

BIKE24 with strong half-year results after IPO: Sales increase by 44%, adjusted EBITDA improves by 83% to EUR 18.9 million

All signs are once again pointing to growth for BIKE24 in the first half of 2021. The continuing high demand for equipment, spare parts, clothing and bikes meant a 44 percent increase in sales in the first six months of the year compared to the same period 2020 for the e-commerce platform. After a successful IPO, which provided Bike24 Holding AG with fresh capital, the company is now continuing to advance its expansion plans in Southern Europe. Management has made an initial preselection in the company’s search for a suitable warehouse location in Spain. In addition, the team is currently working at full speed on the relaunch of its online shop, which is scheduled to go live in autumn 2021.

BIKE24 advances expansion in southern Europe

After the successful launch of its online shop for the Spanish market last summer, BIKE24 has now founded a subsidiary in Spain. In addition, the company is planning to soon set up a logistics centre in the Barcelona area to increase the supply to Spanish and other southern European customers. The e-commerce platform for cycling, which is one of the leaders in continental Europe, is thereby pushing ahead with its expansion in the promising southern European markets. In addition to its presence in Spain, it is currently preparing country-specific online shops for France and Italy.

BIKE24 gets 2021 off to a strong start after record year 2020

More and more people in Europe are getting on their bikes. The desire to get from A to B with low emissions is an important reason for this development. BIKE24 has been part of the trend towards green mobility since the company’s founding. Because with every saddle, helmet or bike sold, the company encourages its customers to use their bikes more frequently. Now biking enthusiasts are also getting support from politicians: In order to make Germany a "bicycle country", the federal government plans to invest 1.46 billion euros in projects that include cycle paths and parking garages for bicycles over the coming years.
